Archangel Rafael – Encaustic with Gold Leaf
Traditional Byzantine Icon
I studied iconography with Theodore Papadopolous. He taught the classical style of Byzantine iconography. I have branched out from there to create in individual interpretation of an icon. Theodore taught egg tempera. I am now using a watercolor base with an encaustic overlay.
